Hey everyone!  I have been very slack with my award postings, time just seems to have got the better of me, so have decided to throw them all together and bang them all out in this one post.  I hope you don’t mind. To Paula, Lindsay,Taylor and Gina, I sincerely apologise for the delay in accepting the awards, but as the saying goes ‘better late, than never’ 🙂

Also, yet again, I am not sure if it is a WordPress issue or my computer but you will see a few ‘links’ would not link properly…but I could not wait any longer for WordPress or my computer to behave.

A brief history of my blog:

My blog started just over a year ago.  I pondered about starting my own blog for quite some time.  Then, when I decided to actually go ahead, the next question was, what I would blog about.  Food did seem like the way to go, as I love food ! So Lynne’s Recipe Trails was born 🙂

My advise to new and upcoming bloggers:

Never give up !  Keep going.  Perseverance is key !!!

She is a mom, a partner, has two beautiful Huskies and lives in Cape Town South Africa.  Lindsay’s blog is amazing with heartfelt posts of motherhood and life as an author. Please go over and check out her amazing blog!

The Rules:

  • Anybody nominated, can nominate seven (lucky number) other bloggers.
  • Anybody nominated, answers three questions.
  • The questions you ask while nominating, can be any three questions.

If any of the questions asked are offending or simply do not want to be answered, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award. This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.

The questions I need to answer (and would like my nominees to answer):

1.Who was the first blog / blogger you heard of / read and did they inspire you to start? I am not too sure of the actual ‘first’ blog or blogger I had heard of, or read but I clearly remember reading  Crazy for Crust (Dorothy) and being totally taken by her blog.

2.Do you see Blogging as a future career or just a side hobby? I am not sure, I haven’t really thought about blogging as a career  At the moment, I am just having fun and enjoying what I am doing.

3.What is your all time favorite Album and Why?, How does it make you feel to listen to it? Oh, no !  That is difficult.  I can’t say I have an all time favorite to be honest.  I do like a lot of Albums though.

Seven Nominees:

  1.   Anita Kushwaha  (Anita)
  2.   Millie Thorn  (Millie)
  3.   A Kinder Way  (Nikki)
  4.   Music Teacher Lifestyle  (Ioana)
  5.   Paintbox Mum  (Claire)
  6.   theutopiauniverse  (Brooke)
  7.   Peace from Panic  (Jenny)

I would love if you would accept this award, but it is non compulsory and I won’t feel offended if you decline.

Many thanks again Lindsay ❤

  1. WOW! You have been hoarding these awards. Lynne this is wonderful. You so deserve these awards. You are such a great support for my own Blog and I had noticed you hadn’t been Blogging but that didn’t stop you from taking an interest in other peoples Blogs. I really love the first quote about growth and staying stuck. It totally resonates. Hope your computer and WP start co-operating with you . Time to get back and Blog! xxxxx

    • Absolutely ! I get highly frustrated when my computer has it’s moments, it saves info when it wants and then loses it the next, it is ridiculous. This post could have been done ages ago ! Anyway, it is now done, and it is a huge relief. Haha I am running out of facts about me ! Thank you, you have a good weekend too. 🙂

  5. Hi Lynne! I always enjoy the quotes that you post. They are always insightful and the ones you posted recently were just what I needed to read today! Thank you! I always love learning a little more about you through the award Q&As as well. Thank you so much for nominating me for The Black Cat Blue Sea award and I hope to participate soon, along with the award you nominated me for a little while ago. I guess I’ve fallen behind too! Hope your having a wonderful week so far! 🙂 xo

    • Hi Anita, you are so welcome ! I am so glad you enjoyed the quotes. That what I enjoy about quotes, they speak to us 🙂 . I am pleased you have accepted the nomination and just know, there is no rush as I fully understand how busy you are with everything going on.
I made your Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies. I actually have made them twice already! What a beautiful cookie. I must admit, mine did not look as lovely as yours did, mine came out a bit flatter, but I think that was because I used butter as I have been unable to track down a vegan butter. Next I will make with margarine and see if there is much of a difference, but seriously they tasted great and a cookie I definitely will be making often. Oh, and I made a slight adaption, I added 1/4 cup Gluten Free Rolled Oats (whole), just for a bit of texture. Both ways are great. Thanks so much for that. Will be thinking of you on the 9th for your reading. Have a wonderful week.(mine has been lovely so far, thank you) 🙂 x

      • Wow, this is so exciting! I’m really pleased that you tried the cookies and that they worked for you. Honestly, everything I’ve tired from “Oh She Glows” has been stellar. I just made myself a Green Monster Smoothie, actually. I wonder if that recipe is on her blog. If so, I recommend it! It’s become a staple for me, along with overnight oats. Hopefully when things become less busy I’ll be able to try out your healthy pizza recipe and a few other recipes from the book too. I’ve been having a craving for the cookies too and might whip up a batch on Friday to celebrate after the reading, ha ha. When I do, I’ll try your modification of 1/4 cup whole oats, for sure. Great idea! Thanks for understanding about my delay with regards to the award and for your kind wishes for Thursday!!! That’s very sweet of you and I always get an extra boost from good vibes. So glad that your week has been a good one so far and I hope the goodness keeps flowing! 🙂 xo

  6. This is what I need to do – figure out all the awards I have neglected and do them all up at once. Except that I’ll likely end up finding something else to do, and continuing to postpone. Perhaps for my next Challenge, I should work on getting better at things like this!

  7. I just love your quotes Lynne! Congratulations on all of your awards, you deserve it! Thank you so much for the nomination! I am not sure I can participate this time, but I really appreciate you thinking of me! My mom is the same way about coffee in the morning, and she drinks a mug of lemon, water, and honey. Have a wonderful day 😀

  8. Congratulations on your awards Lynne and thank you for The Blogger Recognition nomination!! I always enjoy reading people’s answers to questions posed by the nominations to learn a little more about the nominee. Unfortunately I am not able to accept any awards due to tight time constraints however I want you to know that I appreciate you thinking of me. ❤

  9. My goodness, Lynne! What a lot of awards – and all so well deserved. Many congratulations! And three great quotes, too. I must say, I laughed at seeing so many done on one post, but only because I already have four award posts to do and was thinking of putting them all together. You’ve helped me to make my mind up. Like you, I haven’t time for separate posts for each one.
I really enjoyed reading your answers and finding out so much more about you. Caryn is such a lovely second name – and fancy you, not enjoying school. I loved it!
Thank you so much for nominating me, too. I haven’t got that award, so that makes it even better. 🙂 ❤

    • Thanks Millie…I look forward to your post with all your well deserved awards…maybe I have started something here 🙂 Yes, I do like my second name, also the spelling is different. Yes, the school thing, I was a bit on the fence with that, quite sad really…
Oh, and pleasure about the nomination 🙂 x

    • Thanks so much! and pleasure 🙂 Oh the hot water, lemon and ginger is awesome first thing in the morning…you should try it, I am totally into it…I am not going to lie, it is a huge difference to that divine hot mug of coffee :-), but you can get into it. LOL

  10. I just noticed in your June post you honored me with an honorary recognition award. I apologize for missing this post. Thank you for the kind thought and value you place on the material I share with the world. After participating in sharing these type of awards, I realized some people found them an imposition, so I stopped participating in them. Even so, I want you to know I am truly honored and humbled by the nomination. Thank you for all your support and encouragement.

    • Hi Jonathan, thanks for getting back to me, and seriously, no need to apologise, I fully understand. I also understand and totally respect why you have stopped participating.
You know how I feel about your posts, and you will always have me as a supporter 🙂 Take care x
